Inscription and Lettering Projects
When families call us to price headstone inscriptions, , our team examines your family’s headstone and provides an estimate within 24 hours. If your family moves forward with us; we design the inscription to match the existing lettering featured on the monument. Our team also sends the design proof to you for approval before the work commences. We offer headstone inscription services from April until November. Over the winter, we will prepare inscriptions projects for the Spring, as early as May when the weather is more conducive for the work to be completed.
Some key points to consider when calling to obtain a quote for inscription services:
- Before pricing a headstone inscription project, we need to examine the headstone in person or via a photograph. This will assist us in determining the font and lettering style
- If the monument no longer has room for a new inscription, we can suggest some options that are more cost effective than replacing the headstone. We will advise you of the possible options and costs (adding a bevel, mid-base or engraving on the top of the base or back side of the monument).
- If there are space limitations on the existing headstone our team provides inscription ideas which complement the existing design of the monument. These options and pricing are outlined in a written estimate sent to you by email, text or phone.
- It is always a good idea to set a timeline for which you need the headstone inscribed and make sure we know your absolute deadlines for ceremonies and anniversary dates. Inscription services require a good deal of time, often 8 to 12 weeks of planning. To avoid disappointment, communicate your needs and plan ahead.
